Job Details: Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Salary: $35-45 an hour (DOE)
Job Type: Contract/1099; Part-time (up to 25 hrs per week); Some remote days available

At SFPS, our mission is to provide culturally appropriate clinical services for the specialty populations that we service to optimize agency assets.
We are a small, private practice that provides forensic assessment services for public safety officials, attorneys, forensic state hospitals, and county/state correctional facilities. SFPS are certified by the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), and Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
Job Requirements:
- Local candidates only (DFW area)
- Must be able to pass an annual background check
- Business casual dress code required in office on direct patient care days
- Good verbal communication skills
- Hybrid Schedule: Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon-Thur, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; Hours will vary within office scheduled times. Remote hours available.
- Must be Mac/Apple efficient
- Must have reliable transportation to our DeSoto office
- Must have malpractice/liability insurance
- Looking to hire immediately: No credentialing necessary; 2-weeks of training.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial interviews on 5-10 clients per day
- Attend any mandatory scheduled meetings or training to maintain compliance with professional standards and HIPAA practices.
- Compensated at an hourly rate dependent on experience.
- Required to complete documentation on encounters by end of business.
- Talk therapy sessions with patients as well as creating personalized treatment plans.
- Opportunities for additional hours may be available for psychological assessment training
Licensing/Certifications
We're looking for individuals with the following TX licensure:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) OR
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Must have an active independent Texas license, or a pending license number after successfully passing the licensing exam. If unlicensed, will require supervision by SFPS Licensed Psychologist.
- Must have a Master’s degree and practicum hours of clinical experience.
- Familiarity with the Google Suite platform is a plus.
- Specialty experience in forensics is a plus but not required.
